Wedding Neuschwanstein Castle
Neuschwanstein Castle wedding – What’s is to know
Neuschwanstein Castle is located in the Bavarian Alps. Approx one and a half-hour drive from Munich by car it sits on top of the hill overlooking the picturesque valley of Hohenschwangau.
The castle was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and construction started in 1869. The castle was never completed and only partially finished before his death. Had it been completed, the palace would have had more than 200 interior rooms, including premises for guests and servants. The King was a devotee of the composer Richard Wagner and the castle was named after a character in one of his operas “The Swan Knight”. The Neuschwanstein castle was also the model for Disney’s Cinderella castle and is probably one of the most visited castles in Germany.
A Neuschwanstein castle wedding is not allowed directly at or in the castle. However, we have ceremony options with the castle in the background.

Hohenschwangau Castle offers a beautiful view of Neuschwanstein castle, water fountains, manicured gardens, and completely different architecture.
